UYU & ASSTERISKAT (Moon Jelly)

A refreshing break and departure from her more weighty concerns that are caught up in her more observational and naturalistic yet playful works - it’s with UYU and Assteriskats that Soey is able to let go of any self-consciousness of content or concept and run freely and rampantly in the playground. Soey Milk was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States at the age of eleven. Milk’s early path was leading her to become a ballerina, but after she was first introduced to painting, she immediately found a new passion to pursue. Still, some of the ballet dimensions remained, as she was still strongly drawn to human anatomy, which was a cornerstone for the development of her photorealistic style.

Anthony Ausgang - THE BROKEN PROMISE

MunkyKing is proud to present the vibrant Citrus Sherbert colorway of The Broken Promise, Ausgang’s second urban vinyl release with MunkyKing featuring his trademark psychedelic cat as designed by Dave Bondi. The Broken Promise presents a four-armed bifurcating cat shaking hands with itself while simultaneously flashing the Hindu hand gesture that represents a lion-faced incarnation of Vishnu, the Great Protector Simhamukha. So, although a mutually beneficial promise seems to have been made between the two figures, each one seeks security, aware that the other can still back out of the deal.

What is Attic Katz?

Attic Katz is a carefully-curated collection of vintage and modern curios. We seek out collectibles of all kinds that convey deep feelings of nostalgia, whether those nostalgic feelings are for our own childhoods or a time we never knew. We aim to delight collectors of all ages and interests, with an emphasis on fellow cat-lovers. Our current inventory ranges anywhere from 1950s home decor to '80s and '90s kids' toys, all the way to modern designer sofubi and vinyl art toys.

While we have always been collectors of a variety of art and toys throughout life, Attic Katz was primarily inspired by our love of cats, particularly our ragamuffin cat named Lucyfur, who influenced us years ago to begin a still steadily-growing collection of cat decor. Our personal collection brings us so much joy, and the rush and satisfaction of finding a new piece that fits right in with the rest is such an indescribable joy that we decided we wanted to help give everyone the chance to experience that feeling.

We truly believe that a collector lies within all of us; it's just about finding the pieces that speak to you and give you a feeling of elation that you can't easily put into words. We aspire to be the spark that ignites a love of collecting that may have otherwise never been actualized.
